Amrita Simha, Teacher

I am a yogi who has been fortunate enough to find authentic dharma in this life.

Born in 1989, I grew up in a coastal town in Northern Norway. In my early teens, I discovered alcohol and by the age of 18, I was already drinking heavily, eventually getting into other drugs as well. It was all fun and games until a psychedelic trip in my early twenties left my ego and worldview broken and bruised.

As a result of this, I started studying philosophy and practicing yoga and meditation. I spent the following years exploring several traditions; Hindu, Christian, Muslim, Daoist, and Buddhist, while at the same time suffering from periods of depression and hypomania. After finishing my university studies, my existential suffering led me to spontaneously uproot and hitchhike alone around Europe for three months during which I experienced a mental-emotional breakdown.

Despite having already had several glimpses of pure awareness, as well as visitations from various non-physical mahasiddhas, it was in the aftermath of this breakdown, while staying in isolation on a farm in Germany that I truly saw the importance of consistent spiritual practice. Thus I went back home and deepened my efforts on my own until I finally found my guru Amrita Baba, as well as Padmasambhava and the Mahasiddha Family, with whom I have studied extensively ever since.

I am here to share with others what has been given to me.
